Peak 6100, which I am calling Lemcke Peak, as the only thing near it with a name is Lemcke Spring.
It is unusual for this area near John Day Oregon in that it has a paved road to the trailhead. Well, actually if you miss the bumpa chugging you can drive another 1/3 mile, but without gaining much elevation. Assuming you start from the pavement it is less than two miles round trip and 400 feet of elevation gain. The walk starts out on FS370 which ends in a third of a mile. From there it is a reasonable bushwhack to the top. There is one fence to cross if you do it correctly. When you find the fence that goes north and south follow it up hill. Google maps shows an ATV track to the summit, but it is not there on the ground. One can see remains of it in places, but it is not helpful.
Summit is a knoll with no views. Lots of trees for antenna setting up.
