This was another summit I activated with my Dad while staying at Lemolo Lake KOA.
NOTE: This one has a final section that could be hazardous to your vehicle's paint job. The last segment after the turn off is a bit overgrown.
To start with we turned off NF-2610 from the KOA and went up NF-200 until the unnamed logging road at (43.298183, -122.229812) and continued west on to the spur road.
We finally parked at (43.305168, -122.237052). That spur road goes quite a ways in but gets progressively more overgrown. It's about 0.3 miles OW and 250 feet gain from our parking spot. We finally just picked a convenient spot that was open and bushwacked up the slope for the last few hundred feet. This summit didn't have mosquitos like Basket Butte but it did have a few black flies.
I was able to get 6 QSOs on 20m and worked my XYL back at camp.
This is conveniently combined with Basket Butte (W7O/CS-096) which I have described in another posting. I did the 4 Lemolo Lake summits in 2 mornings but if you only had 1 day, you could probably do all 4.
