I tried my first activation on 2m on 14 Jan 2019. I raised K7RJB right away but no others. I didn't post on SOTAWatch beforehand as I didn't know what I was doing and didn't even know if I would be able to reach Green Mountain W70/NC-036. I would like to connect with other activators in the area. I have a Yaesu Vx-6 handheld and KX2.

I was a ham a few decades ago but my general class license expired and I didn't get it back until March 2018. I started on FT8 and then got up the nerve to do CW again. I do mostly CW now (SKCC# 19262). I recently bought a Elecraft KX2 and some end-fed antennas and have a strong interest in SOTA here in Oregon.
