SOTA Activities

I plan to activate, but would also chase to get to know the SOTA community. I have an Elecraft K3 and plan to buy a KX3 and to bone up on my code. I have a special interest in portable antennas. In the past I have climbed a number of summits in the Olympics, Mt Baker, Mt Adams and others. I am thinking about doing SOTA activity in WA, OR and CA

Having experience in backpacking, climbing, and interest in portable ham radio I find SOTA very appealing. Now that I am retired and live in the Puget Sound area, surrounded by many peaks, SOTA sounds like a great challenge and fun. I also look forward to meeting folks in the SOTA community.
