My Automotive GPS did a pretty good job getting me to Bunker Hill. However, I did need to turn around once and do some reconnoitering. To help the next activator here are some specific directions.
Go to Vernonia or Scappoose Oregon. From one head to the other on the Scappoose-Vernonia Highway.Turn west on a gravel road, Bunker Hill Road, at 45.840, -123.038. I did not see a sign at this intersection, but I am not as observant as I should be. Go up the road 1.7 miles on this good gravel road to 45.860, -123.0456. Park or turn right on the seemingly good gravel road here. From here it is ~1.25 miles one way and 400 ft elevation gain. This road surface is pretty good, but it is very overgrown, so your paint may get scratched and your mag-mount will get knocked off. Because it is overgrown the first place to pull over is about a mile in. I parked at 45.8607, -123.0387 at a small clearing/mud hole. From here you will need to walk or install a lift kit and lockers. It is another 1/4 miles and 100 ft. elevation gain from here. There is a nice clearing with open spaces and some trees for setting up any antenna. Ground is soft for anchoring guylines with stakes.
