Trailhead: Take the Feely I-15 exit and drive 9.4 miles westerly on FS-96 (suitable for all vehicles). Turn left (South) on FS-8486 and continue for 3 more miles (Subaru or 4wd). Continue south on the ridge another 0.7 miles on FS-7449 (Closed to motorized use 10/15-12/1) and park at the gate (Subaru or 4wd).
Hike: Hike through the gate and along the 2-track to the large meadow. Continue south across the large meadow towards Mount Fleecer. Bushwack through the forest, taking advantage of the old ATV road where possible. Trend up and left (east) to the swale that is visible higher up. It is possible to avoid nearly all of the rock fields by staying just below them on the east side. We chose to minimize the summit dome rockfield by using a meadow that is on the west and north side, but climbing straight up would work fine also.
