I figured I would provide a summer time update to NS7P's write up. Directions are the same, but cell coverage in this area of the coast has improved and Goodle Maps should have no problem routing to "Dry Lake Horsecamp Trailhead" off of Oregon Coast Highway. The Trailhead has plenty of parking and a pit toilet. There are also fenced areas for your livestock.

The trail is well worn and there are some interpretive signs along the way. It is mostly shaded, but the final bit along the meadow at the top is in sun. The summit has a number of benches to operate from. It was a warm June day on the coast. The bugs were out in force including ticks. I found one on myself while operating and another later that evening, probably reacquired from one of our dogs despite a thorough tick check of everyone.

I operated only about 20 minutes and got plenty of contacts on 40m. I tried the high bands for a few minutes each, but had no pileups.

Afterwards we drove south on the highway and cooled off at the beach via the access spot south of Driftwood Shores Resort.
