Getting there: Google Maps gives good directions. Just put the coordinates in and go. Roads are very well maintained as of March 2026. Cadillac gravel.
The road leads to within about 200 vertical feet of the activation zone. That last couple hundred feet is very steep in places and extremely brushy.
There are two photos from 2020 showing views from the summit. Well, the replanted forest has hit its growth spurt and there are no longer any views and I had to hunt for awhile to find a clearing to set up my EFHW. The young trees were so thick in places that they were tighter than shoulder width. I reckon the DNR will probably come up and thin this forest sometime in the next few years and after that happens it'll probably be a lot more navigable. There was a lot of vine maple as well, so this is best done in the winter/early spring before it pushes out leaves.
