Corvallis American Legion Post #91's, amateur radio club KG7SPL, presents the 2022 W7M six by six SOTA Rendezvous, starting at local sunrise (1240 UTC), Saturday, September 17th until local sunset (0102 UTC 9/19) Sunday, September 18th, in the Bitterroot Valley in western Montana.
Six by Six, simply means; climb a 6,000' or higher summitand activate it on 6 meters.
We want to see if the "Magic Band" is really magical.
We have club members who will be activating, and chasing, many for the first time.
If you want to join in but you can't travel to the Bitterroot Valley, then acivate a summit nearbyand let's summit to summit.
Chasers dust off those 6-meter rugs and antennas and chase us!
At 6 p.m., on Friday, September 16th we will have a meet and greet at the Higherground Brewery in Hamilton, Montana.
Fall is the best time to be in the mountains, so get out there.
6 meter calling frequencies: CW - 50.000 Mhz., SSB - 50.125 Mhz., FM - 52.525 Mhz., Digital - 50.313 Mhz
50.100 to 50.125 Mhz. is the 6 meter "DX Window," please do not make US to US QSOs there.
Make your calendars, and go climb a mountain.
