This is a drive-up summit into the activation zone. A couple of concrete blocks and a tall steel antenna mast indicate the site was a possible old Timber Company repeater station when the land was under different ownership. The summit ownership is now US Forest Service. The road access is good for most vehicles down to a ‘Subaru-class’. Some maps and web descriptions term this summit Lolo Springs Lookout.
Drive-up: The access road terminates within the activation zone and an 80’ walk tops the summit.
Elevation gain from vehicle: Less than 40’
Water: None along the access road or summit.
Bear Spray: Recommend for all Montana summit hikes.
Camping: Campgrounds are nearby off Highway #12. Dispersed camping is also allowed along summit access roads.

Directions: From Lolo, MT travel west on Highway #12 for approximately 25.7 miles to Fish Creek Road FS#343. Travel north on FS#343 for approximately 5.9 miles to Wagon Mountain Road FS#33. Turn northeast on FS#33 for approximately 0.3 miles to FS#4237. Travel on FS#4237 for approximately 2 miles to the summit.
